Snoqualmie Valley Garden Club
As a 501c3, SVGC’s mission is to inform, educate, and inspire our members and the community in the art, science, and joy of gardening, while fostering a commitment to environmental stewardship.
WELCOME TO 2026
As we step into a fresh new year, our Garden Club is buzzing with excitement for the vibrant year ahead. From inspiring lectures on pollinators to hands-on workshops and garden tours that celebrate creativity and connection, we’re cultivating a calendar full of growth, learning, and joy. Whether you're a seasoned gardener or just beginning to dig in, we can’t wait to grow together, sharing knowledge, nurturing friendships, and planting seeds for a beautiful year.
Join us for our January Meeting:
Join us on January 13th for: Landscape Design Basics Video Class. This class, useful for both beginners and experienced gardeners who want better results this year, is a natural follow-up to member Terry Pottmeyer’s inspiring Novermber talk, which encouraged us to really think more deeply about our gardens. Winter is the ideal time to do that work—before spring arrives and shovels hit the ground.
Why winter?
Good landscapes are planned, not rushed. This season gives us time to reflect, redesign, and make confident decisions so we’re ready when the growing season begins.
What participants will learn:
How to assess their site and existing landscape
Core design principles that work in any garden
How to plan changes that improve beauty, function, and long-term success
